In a particularly Christmassy and festive atmosphere, the Council presented the concert “Christmas with Kostas Cacoyannis and his friends” on December 29, 2025, at the Nicosia Municipal Theater. This is an event dedicated to love, hope and support for children hospitalized.
More than 150 people joined forces for this sacred purpose, giving the audience a magical Christmas evening, with favorite festive songs and melodies by Kostas Cacogiannis and Pambos Kouzalis.
The Children’s and Youth Choir, as well as the Anthi Papaphilippou Adult Choral Ensemble, as well as the Nicosia Municipality Children’s Choir, participated in the concert. The event was accompanied by performers Mariam Venizelou, Georgia Neocleous, Andrea Markou, Andrea Neocleous, Irene Cacogianni, Nikos Mylonas, Evgenios Mylonas and Christoforos Christofi.
The orchestra was performed by Kostas Cacogiannis, Andreas Michalopoulos, Andreas Davison, George Spyrou, Kostas Halloumas and Pambos Kouzalis. Anthi Papaphilippou and Avraam Kontos were responsible for teaching the choirs.
The event was held under the auspices of the First Lady, Ms. Philippa Karsera Christodoulidou.
The sale of tickets took place through the Ticketmaster platform, while the production of the event was undertaken by the company Papadopoulos & Schoinis Production Ltd. Mr. Costas Cacogiannis and Mr. Pambos Kouzalis subsidized their participation in the event.
