On 5/12/2024, the Council’s annual charity Christmas event was held with great success. Η εκδήλωση έγινε στην αίθουσα εκδηλώσεων του Προεδρικού Μεγάρου και τελέστηκε υπό την υψηλή προστασία της Πρώτης Κυρίας Φιλίππας Καρσερά-Χριστοδουλίδη.
In her speech, Mrs. Karsera-Christodoulides thanked the Council Members who do a wonderful job, offering financial and emotional support to patients and their families at a time when they need help. Also referred to the Government’s support and measures to enhance assistance to patients and their families at the Hospital.
Afterwards, the President of the Council, Nicosia District Governor, Mr. Andreas Hatzipakkos, who referred, among other things, to the total financial assistance offered by the Council in the first 10 months of 2024, namely €106,464 in 133 cases.
Finally, the Medical Director of the Hospital, Arch. Makarios III Dr. Christos Minas, in a brief greeting, particularly thanked the Council Members who selflessly stand by the patients, with the aim of providing financial and emotional support, but also by the Hospital itself, having a strong collaboration for the good of all.
Those present had the opportunity to enjoy a sumptuous meal, accompanied by a Christmas melody by the musician Mrs. Anna Kalogirou.
