In a festive atmosphere, the Council’s traditional Christmas lunch was held with great success this year, in the hall of the Presidential Palace, in the presence of the First Lady, Ms. Philippa Karsera Christodoulides. On December 16, 2025, the Council welcomed its friends and supporters, celebrating the love for giving and solidarity towards the families of the Hospital’s patients.
In addition to the proceeds from ticket sales, several sponsors also contributed significantly to the success of the event, to whom the Council warmly thanks. The most important of these were:

In addition, the event’s proceeds were boosted by the sales of Christmas decorations on the tables, which were kindly donated by Council Members.
In her speech, Mrs. Karsera Christodoulides thanked the Council Members for the wonderful and essential work they do, offering both financial and emotional support to patients and their families, at a time when they need it most. At the same time, he referred to the Government’s support and measures to enhance assistance to patients and their families at the Hospital.
Afterwards, the President of the Council and District Governor of Nicosia, Mr. Andreas Hatzipakkos, who, among other things, referred to the total financial assistance offered by the Council for the year 2025, which amounted to €118,000, supporting a total of 200 families.
